Preview: Hovanoke Trees

The large hovanoke trees are plentiful in the forests of Anatharia. They are known for their beautiful, strong wood and are often used for furniture and buildings. They have a variety of leaf coloring ranging from yellow to orange to red. Hovanoke trees rarely grow straight, usually having a bent trunk.

It is said that the hovanokes bend towards the position of the sun in the sky at the time of their sprouting. Giving rise to tales that there are particularly rare trees called sunset hovanokes that bend to an extreme towards the horizon. There are also suspected to be sunrise hovanokes that bend towards the other horizon.
